Colleagues - I want to make you aware of a new IETF mail list "for the discussion of the following topics:

- How the Web PKI currently works
- Shortcomings and failure modes of the current Web PKI
- Future evolution of Web PKI
- Advice to those developing Web PKI clients"

It has been suggested that a BoF be held at the November meeting of the IETF in Atlanta to consider formation of a Working Group on one or more of these topics.  For that reason, discussion in the immediate future should probably focus on the scope and objectives of such a Working Group.

This topic was introduced in the Security Area Advisory Group meeting during IETF 84 in Vancouver with this set of slides ...
