At NYTimes.com, we have periodically received reports from end users of broken links for a few portions of the site that do not currently support https, but because the referring pages did not contain https:// links, the problem was stumping us until we heard about HTTPS Everywhere.
I would like to suggest the following additional exclusions to the NYTimes.xml file to account for a few such cases:
<exclusion pattern="^http://(www\.)?nytimes\.com/(1[89]\d\d|200[0-4])/"/>
<exclusion pattern="^http://(www\.)?nytimes\.com/info/"/>
<exclusion pattern="^http://(www\.)?nytimes\.com/services/xml/rss/index.html"/>
Here are some examples of pages that currently do not work when HTTPS Everywhere is installed:

http://www.nytimes.com/1860/12/28/news/horrible-treatment-of-the-english-prisoners.html
http://www.nytimes.com/info/germany/
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/index.html
Please contact me if you need any more information.
Thank you,
