The MVP-EarlyAdopter/alpha release is planned for this week. This release should
be suitable for use on your primary home router. Until now the recommendation
was that people not use the OW router as their primary home router. With the alpha
release, at least for some people, the features and stability will allow it to serve
primary home router function.

The alpha release is not feature complete; the unimplemented features are slated
to be completed with the beta release.

Some highlights of the upcoming release, include local timezone auto-detection,
resolution of build issues so you can build your own image, last login info on
dashboard to further secure admin login, ability not to have usage limits on the
openwireless.org SSID, retention of user settings when subsequent releases
happen and many bug fixes and improvements.

As you will see the work for the alpha release is not yet complete. Any help this week
towards completing and improving the quality of this release is much appreciated.
Here is how you can help:

    (1) Please look through the open and unassigned items above and let me know if you
have a fix or can take it on. If there is interest we may be doing a mini-hackathon
on Wed (Dec 17). Let me know if you can participate.

  (2) Builds should now work. You can help validate that and it will also be useful if you
work on one of the items above and need to test your work. I have updated the build
instructions in the README, so please look through that and clone a fresh version
of the repo to kick off builds.

  (3) Several features / fixes / pull requests have now been merged into repo. Help with
testing the new features and fixes is of great value. So please build, flash and test
as the repo continues to be updated this week.

Thanks,
Ranga
