This month at San Francisco's premiere techno-activism meet-up that
takes place on a Monday, we welcome Phil Lapsley, who will be speaking
about his great book "Exploding the Phone" and the interaction between
telecommunication companies, telecoms and computer security laws, and
what happens when curiosity and technologists' ethics face up against
law enforcement, or the law itself.

We'll also take a look at Open Access week with EFF's Maira Sutton, and
look at the case of Diego Gomez who faces up to eight years in prison
and crippling monetary fines for sharing another academic's master's
thesis with his colleagues online.

All that, plus networking (both social and wifi), snacks, and heavily
adulterated Soylent.

What is this again? Techno-Activism Third Mondays (TA3M) is an informal
meetup to connect activists and technologists who are interested in the
challenges of surveillance and censorship, and anyone interested in free
and open technology. TA3M happens all over the world, from Amsterdam to
Tokyo. You can find out your local meetup here:
