[SSL Observatory] China MITM of github.com?

Hi all,

You've probably seen the news about Chinese MITM on SSL traffic to GitHub:
https://en.greatfire.org/blog/2013/jan/china-github-and-man-middle

However, the only sources I've seen mentioning this MITM attack is
GreatFire.org and @teawithcarl

Is there someone on this list who can confirm or deny whether or not
this MITM attack is real?
