Or be a bit more clever than writing "controller.mobile.lan" into it.
Something like "Your connection is secured by [trustworthyname]" or
whatever.

I would wait for Jake's reply if it is the Hotel's portal site. I'll be
at the hotel tomorrow, too, so we could actually ask staff. Not that I
expect an answer from them but they can probably give us the contact to ask.
