The first alpha version of EFF's Decentralized SSL Observatory for Firefox is
now available as an opt-in feature of this version of HTTPS Everywhere:
https://www.eff.org/files/https-everywhere-2.0development.1.xpi
If you have Tor and Torbutton installed, you will get a popup asking if you
would like to use the SSL Observatory. Otherwise, you can turn it on in the
HTTPS Everywhere menu (Which can be found in the toolbar on in the "Tools"
menu).
The Decentralized Observatory will let us incorporate data from numerous
network endpoints in future SSL Observatory data releases. It will also let
us implement server-side heuristics to detect insecure or malicious
certificates, and users will get popup warnings when the Observatory spots
these.
