[Apologies for cross-posting] We invite you to attend this conference. We
expect to gather a lot of new information about how Internet companies
actually handle content moderation and removal operationally, a topic of
substantial interest across many disciplines. We aren't charging
registration fees for academics, but we are anticipating a full house, so
please register ASAP if you plan to come. Hope to see you there. Regards,
Eric.

We are pleased to announce our conference, Content Moderation and Removal
at Scale, being held on campus on February 2, 2018. This conference will
explore how Internet companies operationalize the moderation and removal of
third party/user-generated content (UGC). UGC services routinely say that
moderating and removing content is hard and expensive. This conference will
explain the operational challenges and how companies are trying to solve
them. See the agenda and additional details at the conference website:
http://law.scu.edu/event/content-moderation-removal-at-scale/

Conference registration is $195, with discounts for Santa Clara Law alumni,
and several categories for free registration. We expect the conference to
sell out, so we recommend early registration.

We hope you can join us!
