The following statement was released today by the Internet Association,
AsociaciĆ³n Latinoamericana de Internet, Australian Information Industry
Association, CCIA, Digitaleurope, InternetNZ and ITI:

https://internetassociation.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Internet-Association-TISA-Intermediary-Liability-2-Page-Handout.pdf

It references the Manila Principles on Intermediary Liability (actually
the background paper, though) in support of an argument for inclusion of
language on intermediary safe harbors in TiSA, the Trade in Services
Agreement.

We have significant reservations about TiSA as a process and about the
use of closed trade agreements in Internet governance, and we have a
separate project about that topic (see https://opendigital.trade), but
nonetheless, it is good to see further evidence of the reach of the
Manila Principles.
