From bill at eff.org Fri Nov 2 15:11:31 2018 From: bill at eff.org (William Budington) Date: Fri, 2 Nov 2018 15:11:31 -0700 Subject: [HTTPS-Everywhere] New release 2018.10.31 Message-ID: <20181102221131.jvhcodsiqprxjpna@mutt> I apologize for the delayed announcement. There is a new release for HTTPS Everywhere out today. From the changelog: 2018.10.31 * Add additional error code for 'Block all unencrypted requests' interstitial page. * Fix race condition when adding update channel * Add UX to remove user rules in options page * Bundled ruleset updates One thing of note: this release was signed by Alexis Handcock , with the fingerprint: CE34 0E9D 077F 1DC0 F4FA 7B03 0D16 CFA2 BA1F 7420 Though my own key signed the git tag `2018.10.31`. This is expected. In the future, expect either one of us to make releases of the extension. Alexis will be focusing on HTTPS Everywhere here at EFF, doing software and ruleset releases as well as improving the core codebase. You may have seen her on the GitHub under the username @zoracon already! I'm super glad to have her on board - this will increase our capacity as well as bring a new perspective to maintaining this long-standing project. Just a heads up, Bill
