Hi all,

Google Summer of Code (GSOC) is a program in which students can be paid a
stipend by Google over summer to work on a free / open source project:

http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/homepage/google/gsoc2012

EFF and the Tor Project will be submitting proposals for GSOC 2012, and these
should include some HTTPS Everywhere projects that students can work on.

There are a few things that we could use help with from the HTTPS Everywhere
developer community:

1. If you're interested in mentoring a GSOC student, or being a backup mentor
for a GSOC student, let me know.

2. We need to put together a list of proposed projects by Sunday. I've
started one here, feel free to add suggestions:

https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/HTTPSEverywhere/GSOC-2012

3. If you're a student, and would like to be paid by Google to work on HTTPS
Everywhere this (northern hemisphere) summer, get in touch! Also, if
you know others who might be in this situation, point them our way.
