[HTTPS-E Rulesets] Google Images?

It seems like Google Images has become regularly available in
HTTPS.  Does this link work for other people?

https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=kitten&hl=en&prmd=ivns&source=lnms&tbm=isch

Confusingly, there is no obvious way to get the Images home
page in HTTPS -- no HTTPS equivalent of

http://images.google.com/

Instead, it seems that you have to do a web search on

https://encrypted.google.com/

and then click on the "Images" link afterward.
