OK, the LogLevel value was 5 (apparently the default?), but I've
changed it to 3, and I'm seeing lots more output now. I'll let
everyone know the next time I get a crash.<br>

I've got a bunch of other old extensions that are marked as
"disabled". I can try actually removing them, though I wonder if
this would make any difference; any thoughts?<br>

I'm not familiar with the "-P -no-remote" flags; what would this
do? I am, in fact, already running in a fairly new profile, with
most of my add-ons reinstalled by synchronizing to another
(non-crashing) Firefox instance on a different computer; I did this
a few days ago, thinking that my old profile might have become
corrupted from years of upgrades and such, and hoping (sadly in
vain) that starting over again might clear up the crashing/hanging
problem.<br>
