for HTTPS on sites (e.g., when a site seems to support HTTPS access but
makes a few, unpredictable, parts of the site unavailable in HTTPS). If
you report the problem to us, we can try to fix it."</p>

Here are two such problems that I've identified:<br>
<br>
1. On the Washington Post web site, use of HTTPS Everywhere appears to
disable the "Comments" function associated with articles. The number of
reported comments is always zero, even when there are comments posted.
(I regard the Comments function, which reports user feedback, to be a
significant feature of the online newspaper.)<br>
<br>
2. On the NY Times web site, certain subsidiary links don't function
properly. Here is an example: With HTTPS Everywhere enabled for the NY
Times, go to the NYT's Room for Debate blog main page here:<!-- m --> <a
class="postlink" href="http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate">http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate</a><!-- m -->
. Now click the link to various individual debate items. When I did
this, in general, the displayed page reverts to the main Room for
Debate page, and won't go to the linked location for the individual
debate topic.<br>
